DRYER VENT CLEANING
Dryer Vent Cleaning
Near Western New York
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission estimates that 15,500 fires associated with clothes dryers occur annually causing 10 deaths, 310 injuries, and more than $84.4 million in property damage annually. Lack of maintenance is the leading cause of dryer vent fires in the United States with lint cited as the leading material to ignite.

Cleaning the dryer vent improves the safety and efficiency of your dryer. Depending on what type of dryer you have - stackable, side-by-side, gas or electric - and how your dryer is vented - through the wall, up through the roof, across the inside of the ceiling, etc. - the basic procedure is the same.

Our service technician will come inside and unhook the connection piece that goes between the dryer and the vent. We'll run the vent cleaning equipment from the dryer side out to the end of the vent. Specialized brushes spin and loosen and simultaneously vacuum all lint, dust, and debris to the entire length of the vent. All of our equipment uses state-of-the-art HEPA filtration so we are able to use it without contaminating the environment we are working in. Once the cleaning equipment has traveled the length of the vent, to thoroughly clean it, our technician will clean out the connection piece, reattach your dryer, and recheck the vent while your dryer is operating.

What Causes a Clogged Dryer Vent?
-
Lint, plain and simple. The lint filters in dryers only catch a fraction of lint that is produced during one dry cycle. The rest falls underneath the lint trap and can gather at the bottom of the dryer near the heating element. When a big amount of lint accumulates inside the Dryer Vent, it causes an obstruction. Each dryer ventilation tube is made from foil or a flexible plastic, and with enough pressure, it can be smashed or chip.

-
Additionally, if the Dryer Vent is not connected well, it can also cause lint to trap. If the lint builds up inside the Dryer Vent, the air is blocked inside, and not getting out, this can create massive heat levels that will eventually lead to a fire. The lint that is clogging the Vent is very flammable.
